RSPS Section Expanded

I don't think you fully understood op, anyway what he is trying to say is add subsections to improve the activity. A Lot of people are drawn to forums like these.



For example nearly half the users on that forum are on the private server section. He isn't asking to make more advertising space but to add different sections to it.

 

@Saiyn yes that is exactly what I am saying that we could boost the activity because in my opinion RSPS's may be around long after runescape has died we have an opportunity to expand sythe in new directions as well as what we already have as a forum

 

I agree that the section would need to be heavily moderated, but we have four moderators with RS permissions, not including Globals. I feel that as long as they were told to patrol the section a little it'd be fine and further moderators wouldn't need to be added.

As for what you mentioned about a subject for file-sharing, yes, that'd be one section that could definitely increase the activity.

Purple was merely throwing that out as a possible suggestion. Basically what he's doing is suggesting something be done to revive the activity in the forum, and having a specific moderator there to help organise things could help. I'd personally only add a moderator there if things got very active.

Tbh I don't think sythe himself is a big fan of RSPS's even though this would bring in an extended community.

 

He doesn't want to create an officially endorsed one or anything because it could allow legal implications in the future, which I believe he'd rather stay clear of. Anything unofficial though I think he'd be okay with it.

It could be done if enough support pours into this though, but you're right about it not being as easy at I made it sound.

 

Bump for Smurf. RSPS's are quite popular and if implemented correctly this suggestion could lead to an increase in traffic.

Nothing so far from what I could tell, honestly I think the CDT could make this change part of their agenda and successfully sustain it which would cut the mods some slack in that regard.

 

It's something the Community Development might look into but it's not really our area. The main part of this suggestion at the moment is to have new subsections implemented and change things around a little bit.

I support, tbh i feel with the EOC alot of people will revert back to rsps including myself. Rsps have grown quite alot lately and it wouldn't hurt to bring in this community.

 

I'll support. I've had tons of experience owning/coding Rsps's, so I can help in there for when people do need help.
