so i've got the username mw3 and i've had many pm's etc asking to buy the username. How do you think its worth? im just curious.

Easiest way to find out is to just put it up for sale. If you really want to sell a name, I always figure it's worth what people are willing to pay for it. If the offers don't live up to your expectations, just keep it, it's a great name

You'd give them the account.
Then it's their responsibility to transfer the name.

I'm guessing you have the name on an account you're active on so, here's what you do:

Go ahead and change your name now, and make a thread for the sale of the name. You will need to wait at least 28 days before you can transfer the name, so as the time passes, you can let people offer on the name (don't worry the name will be reserved for at least 28 days, usually it's more like 40). After the 28 days are over, you simply change your name again in order to transfer it to the other person.
By the time you're able to transfer it, you'll probably have already found a buyer. PM me if you'd like some extra tips on transferring, to avoid getting the name stolen.

 

You can transfer the name off your current account on to a level 3 that you just created.

Not risky if no one knows when you're transferring it.
If you do the one month method it's very safe.

I don't fully understand the month method. Would i have to change my username, wait 28 days then change my name then straight after the buyer would change it to the username i was selling?

 

Here's an example:

Your current name: Mw3
First step you change your name from Mw3 to w.e you want.
wait a month then change it again. As soon as you change it the second time make sure you have an account creation page open on the name part.

Then quickly type in Mw3 and there you have it. It's transferred.
It's safe if you do it very quickly and no one knows when you're doing it.
