One of my favorites. Fix the links you posted btw . I've loved rise against not only for their music, it's for their views. They're all vegan and support peda. They've changed my views completely. Just their lyrics get to me, especially in songs like hero of war.
They're okay...., I find them listenable but they're EXTREMELY overrated, I raged when RANCID OPENED for them in Toronto last summer, and Rancid has been around for 19 years, famous for punk revival in the 90's, Rise Against gets more credit than they should.
Rise against are my favourite band. I agree with MegaMatt though, I think rise against should be opening for rancid, not the other way round
Honestly, they are all vegan? I knew they were an awesome band but I thought they were like any other band in the way of morals and things... I didn't actually know they were all that righteous etc. If they want something like that to make a difference they need to get it known though, undoubtedly thousands would follow them if they gad it more publicized.
They're nothing too special. They kind of just rip off other bands and merge them into all one to create some bad-ass band. They're over rated and there's hundreds of better bands.
I always used to get Rise Against and Rage Against the Machine mixed up :S I like a few songs by rise against.
