Peace Nick. You were one of the people I actually agreed with getting promoted to mod and a respectable OMM (unlike someone ha).

I hope you don't leave Sythe all together though.

[N]ick. You stopped talking to me man. I will have to adit you and chase did a lot of work but there are some other good sectionals such as heavenlord, tr1bal (even though he's slowed down I think) and SuF has caught up with reports etc. I don't see any globals doing anything except for megamatt tbh also.

    Peace.

It was getting slightly frustrating how a few staff members handled moderating the whole site.

Like before I was staff, I plan to post in offtopic again. It would be a waste for me to stop middlemanning, so I'll be doing that too on an occasional basis.

    And hai X0ro.

    A legacy has fallen.

The next mod has a very big pair of shoes to fill. Good luck in school.

C'mon Sin, I thought even you could do better than that reply. The truth is the staff here are inactive as hell. It's not something new nor has it gotten better or worse over the years. 90% of the staff do nothing, and please don't give me the "they do things behind the scenes" excuse, I've heard it one too many times.

The only reason it's becoming more noticable is because the 2 or 3 mods we usually have at the time who do all the work are getting fed up with just that, doing all the work.

You go on your public MSN once a week? You make it sound as if you gracing us with your presence for 30 minutes every month is enough, it isn't.

Do you ever notice how when a member gets promoted to a sectional they seem to always be on, helping, moderating, being active? Do you then also notice the moment they get promoted either to global or admin they sit on their rank and do absolutely nothing? Yeah, it's a cycle that happens almost constantly here at Sythe, except, isn't it ironic, the admins are too lazy to actually do anything to fix it.

All in all, nothing will change, someone leaves, they'll promote a random person who will sit and do nothing and call it a success. I'd call it a successful failure.

Nonsense. When they do nothing (a named case being Jansen), they are swiftly demoted. I personally assess mod logs with Sythe every month and ensure sufficient activity.

It's not an issue. No staff are irreplaceable. If they become too inactive, they are demoted. Ultimately, newer staff are likely to do more. This is a given. Staff aren't paid, we're volunteers. Consequently, expectations cannot be massive. Moreover, your actual claim itself is flawed. Many Globals are active and contribute well to staff discussions, and the Admins (mainly Sin, Pen and I) are on hand to deal with issues that can be addressed to us by PM.

Yes. Nothing will change. For years I've read the same stuff you've written, but the site hasn't fallen apart; collapsed, or significantly digressed into something lesser than it previously was. Like you said yourself, it's a cycle. And that's fine.
