Resignation.

Hey guys!

Few IRCers asked me to write one up, didn't really think it was my scene but I guess I should.

I've gone and stepped down due to me not being able to give moderating the attention it deserves, I've never wanted to be one of those obnoxious mods who cling on to their position by doing absolutely no work for months, something I wish that I could have corrected during my time when I had most chance at influencing stuff.

I'm comfortable in saying that when joining the staff I wanted to leave something behind, and I feel like I did.. brought back the OGV, Suggested LiveHelp, and hopefully the games' section renovation when it comes around. that and helping get rid of several hundred scammers and spammers monthly and aiding in some of the most problematic incidents over the past year or two, such as spyike's website and other things.

Either way, you can all catch me on; Karl[at]Deliveryman.com or the unofficial IRC, sythe-irc.org. My time here was a great experience, I don't want to lose anyone that i've got to know here. I hope that a few months down the line I can come back properly and maybe help out again, because I'll always care about this place despite how active I am.

That sucks. Hopefully you can at least stay partially active. Was there any particular cause for the resignation?

 

Oh my god, Karl! I am legitimately sad to see you go, I'm glad I've spent time with you when it lasted. It's great to know you'll still be in the IRC! You're really kind, funny, and just generally awesome person! I will definitely remember you! I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Bye, Karl. :'(

 

Oops, I should have mentioned, its because I'm lacking motivation to moderate and that I have exams coming up, i broadly covered it all as not giving the site the attention that it deserves.

 

Yeah, it's UK times for exams coming up. I'm sure you'll pass ^_^

I'm guessing you'll still be the IRC owner?

I remember when out-of-nowhere you became an off-topic mod, and thinking "who the hell is Karl?" You've definitely made a name for yourself now, and have definitely been one of the hardest-working and most-dedicated sythe users I've seen. You will be missed

Just as in the OGV team, I am disappointed to see you go but i'm sure everyone here respects your other obligations, and definitely appreciates everything you've done for us.

 

We hit it rough at first but I can honestly say you were one of my favourite mods and even MM'd a 1.4b trade for me at one point.
