As you probably know, this is a guide on how to crack a combo lock.

I guess I should start by saying not to do this for personal gain (i.e. STEALING). Only use this to open locks you may have forgotten the combination to, or just to show off to your friends.

Step 1:

Get an aluminum can and cut the top off. Then proceed to cut out a small rectangle about 1x2 inches. After you have the rectangle cut out, make right triangle cuts in it to form the shape of an ‘M.’

Next take the two outer tabs and fold them up, leaving the middle tab pointed down.

Then take the top and fold it down like this:

Step 2:

Now that you have the lock pick made—its time to put it to use.

Take your combination lock and face it towards you like so. Then wrap the pick around the left side of the bolt loop facing the point down.

All you have to do now is push the pick down and pull the bolt loop up at the same time. If you are new and can’t really get this you may want to try pushing first then pulling up.

Extra tip: If the pick keeps breaking off, try 1.) alternating which way you face it, or 2.) changing the length or width of the pointed piece.
