Well, you just answered your own question! Basically it makes it more worthless, just like what the others say, I'm not trying to follow the crowd but based on what I know, I can firmly say that if the word belongs only to a "particular" group or society in the world, and the fact that the term was "coined" or "created" by a random TV network that you can't even name or nobody even remembers. Then it all adds up to the fact that it's worthless.

And I'll have to add that it's my first ever time I heard of this word called "hacktivism" and somebody mentioned "activism" here so I want to PC how much the name "Activist" goes for?
