Rep system!

Anyone could rep someone else so i don't think its good. Also if only a staff could rep a person then that would be really hard to rep everyone that is trustworthy. And then if a person with lots of rep does end up scamming then it just shows you can't really trust anyone and makes it all pointless anyway.

 

Point in vouches?
Its the same thing really, make a REP system where you have to give reason
Anyone can make new accounts and vouch thereselves

Or even write there own vouch, dont even have to be real? I don't think

if you make it open to all players it will be abused
if youy make it for staff people will beg

if they made it so u needed a certain amount of rep to rep some1 i dont see to much harm, but u need to have a very good reason to rep. not just like a free rs account gets u rep n stuff like that.

Well on a site called se7ensins they use both rep and a thing called thanks to a thread.For example if you think that a certain thread is sticky worthy you thank the poster, each thank brings it up higher in forums eventually when it gets high enough the staff will check it out to be stickied.This gets all of the good threads on top of the forums, and you can tell how dedicated a member really is, instead of just by their post count.

 

i agree with fin they are almost always abused so there's no point.. on the other hand we could only let people with 500+ posts only to do it.

 

Not a good idea. I think scammers can take advantage of this. For example, a MM can be a scammer. On his last trade before becoming an official MM, he can scam like $700 and leave sythe for good.

 

It turns into a popularity contest. Not many people would want to rep a leecher.
