Rep system!

Well, many people make very nice guides and things like that, and they should deserve a little something for the effort they put in their guide, or what ever it is. If someone thinks it's that good, they should have the power to rep them. The rep system is pretty nice, makes people feel good, makes them find more stuff, maybe get more active...

I know zypur has this, its okay, but it does'nt really do anything to improve the wellbeing of the forum.

But should only be for trades or two seperate ones.
Ie General Rep, and merchant rep - Ie Similar to the ebay system.

You get max of 2 points for good deal. Negative points for bad deal.
For every rep assigned it would have to go through a team of people who look into the reason for rep.

Its a good idea, and I like using it on other forums. However it shouldn't be trade related.

 

I think it's a good idea, however I voted no. I think scammers would take advantage of this and create multiple accounts and start repping each other. Overall, I think it can work but there are some factors that need to be considered.

 

I love rep on other forums. It should not be trade related, and people should not trust high rep people. The way people trade should really stay the same.

 

We used to have rep on sythe, they removed it for a reason, so don't expect it to happen.

 

I agree if it's for the staff only, like it was previously.

 

Well, you can make it so that you need a certain amount of rep to start repping others? Or you have to be on the site for a certain amount of days. And also make it so you can't rep the same person over and over, make it like you have to rep ** amount of people until you can rep the same person....

theres no point in rep system.

You can tell someone truthworthly if they're mod / admin etc.
also you can look at vouches.

 

^ Vouching is the most untrustworthy way of seeing ever.

 

Yes, but i agree it should be staff only.
Certain levels off staff can +/- more Rep.

People would like beg the staff they know through msn to rep them... and the staff members don't know enough members individually to make that fair or worthwhile :\

Mabye if there is a proof of a clean trade, certain staff could manage it. It would be more annoying and time consuming than helpful i believe. But it just might help stop all the scamming. But then again if people weren't beat as children or dropped or what ever happened then they would know a good trade from a bad and not be ridiculously idiotic and use MM's.

 

I don't think this would work out because people could easily just rep another person for a rep in return.

 

Well, what's this going to do? Only make Sythe staff even harder to take control.. This is just a hassle. It can easily be abused, and any scammer can create multiple accounts and give him self rep.
