    Regarding C4D's

So i have a question involving C4D's, somtimes when i see C4D's they have the effect on a black background not transperant?? Even some of the ones on cloudbrush.com are like that? I was wondering how your supposed to use them? Are you supposed to render the whole damn thing or what?

    Thanks,

You don't really have to render it. You can erase parts of it and set it on your signature or you can change the blending options and some of them make the black disappear.

usually c4ds with black background are effect c4ds. these you use for overlaying/screening/softlight/colourdodge. to create effects.
the pre-rendered c4ds are generally used on normal mode and just blended in.
however its really up to your own personal taste.
