Recommended streaming settings?

Hey,
I'd like to start to stream on Twitch. I have tried several programs even OBS.
I had issues with OBS, but now I'm going back and hope I can get help which settings I should use.

DESKTOP RESOLUTION: 1920x1080

Your ISP is very strange, that's a crazy ratio. Your DL should be higher if your UL is that high.

I've tested OBS and it worked fine, what issues are you having?
How many monitors do you have?
What are you streaming?

 

Not true for the ISP.

I have 120 down, 25 up. Same ratio of down/up



Anyways, to OP: you just need to toy with your settings to find what works best. When I initially set up OBS, I spent 3-4 hours fine tuning.

Set your bitrate to 2000-2500 range, resolution down scale to 720p, and everything else just toy with until you find what works for your rig.

Just as a side note to back his kind of thing up, my school's net was like 110 up and 95 down. It just kinda depends on the connection in general.

That quality is amazing. Any better and you'll have 75% of the people who try to watch complaining about lag.

Seriously though, what's your bitrate/settings?

The quality of that is almost flawless.... It's kind of concerning due to the fact that mine isn't even that good, and a lot of my viewers can't watch on "source"... You may run into a LOT of issues w/ viewers bitching/complaining about lag.

Yeah, 3500 bitrate is high. You will run into people complaining about lag/not being able to watch.

I run 2500 w/ buffer at 3000 and I used to run into that before I got my partnership (which permanently enables the quality select button)
