    Recommended computer for scape?

Alright I caved in. I'm gonna buy new computer for scape. I don't know jack about building one so obviously it'll already be made. I don't want $100 eBay cheap (made that mistake), but I don't want mac expensive..so what computer do you recommend. I'm aiming for a no-lagg setup. Budget would be <1250. remember, it can be less than that..cheapest one with best results is what I'm gettin. I was looking at some Dell ones personally. It can be either a desktop or laptop.

This is what i found for a cheap computer with some power. I'd get opinions on this before you considered doing anything with it thought.. I would buy this over a brand-name computer myself(Like dell, HP, etc - Proprietary parts) :/.

My opinion on laptops is, don't waste your money. it'll be completely obsolete or dead within 2-3 years, with no way to upgrade it. The keyboard/touchpad will get all worn out and the screen will probably be in rough shape.

Advice? The best advice you can take is to build a computer yourself.

catsown has put together a nice build, (aside from the RAM, just because I don't like the brand) that should do almost anything you want.

But with a higher budget, I'd snag a 580 instead of the 6870.

honestly I don't know the difference between a 580 or 6870 or a 87656597987960. Since the thread has been answered, I got one more question...will a professional do it if I take it to a computer outlet? Like if I buy this stuff and take it to a computer professional who works at best buy or somethin

Yea you could do that, but i would suggest just looking on craigslist for a credible person, or to some small time store instead of best buy because best buy would probably charge you a lot.

Yeah, as Artie131 said above. Or if you have any technical schools or schools with computer programs you could cart the parts there.
