The music is pretty good, but i cant stand the singer.

 

I've heard almost all of Kalmah's material. Only a few songs stand out to me.

Pretty much the first half of Swampsong was great (Heroes To Us being the standout track).

 

singing is terrible and the music is pretty boring too, guitar work is average.

 

I'm personally looking forward to their new album coming out in April, to me The Black Waltz was a great album they've reallly kept that unqiue sound about them while keeping it fresh as opposed to other bands I can mention *cough* Norther *cough* Children of Bodom *cough*.

 

The singer is pretty good and the music kind of.

Actually, Norther aren't doing too bad right now.

Their first three albums were INCREDIBLY good. From Solution 7 to No Way Back, they kind of went through a mediocre stage, but if you've heard their new album which comes out next friday (which got leaked a few weeks ago), it's actually quite good. It's up to par with their Dreams of Endless War/Mirror of Madness/Death Unlimited era.

 

Hmmm in my opinion once more lol I did hear the new Norther album and still believe its nowhere near par "Dreams of Endless War". Riffs get a bit repetitive and clean vocals DO NOT suit Norther at all.

 

I don't know, I liked it a lot.

And clean vocals do work for Norther if they use it right. I do agree, in songs like YDKS and Day Zero, they're horrendous and suck beyond belief. Give another listen to Omen and Wasted Years from Till Death Unites Us, though. The clean vocals are pretty good there, because they're layered in with Petri's vocals (kind of like in A Fallen Star, but a little more prominent in some points).

Even if they do start going downhill again, I'm always going to listen to their new material out of respect for their first few albums.

 

I like the song itself, but not too much for the singer. Once you listen to the song more, you will get used to it.
