Rares question

Alright, I was wondering -- is a Santa hat a good investment? Has the street value ever been very high?

Or should I just go with a disk instead?

 

you wont be able to buy a disk, and i would say yes around this time time stock the fuck up on santas before christmas while they are going down in value! just bought 5 today.

 

Santas can be a good short term investment, though I'm not sure of their long term investment value... there are simply too many in the game for them to hold high Ge values over extended periods of time.

 

Santa would be the better option, they rise later on in the year but as Determinate said they are rare enough for them to stay expensive and stable.

 

Look at it this way, They aren't going to make any more rares in the game so there can only be less and less rares which means the price can only go higher. I would suggest buying a santa.

Personally I wouldn't hold out on them, they're on a downward spiral atm. They went from like 35M to 120M in 2-3 months, now they're crashing. I don't care what anybody says, Christmas isn't close enough for these things to start going up anytime soon. I'd honestly stay away from the low-end rares market for the time being.

 

That to and slowly work your way up the rares. keep buying low price (like santa hats), then medium priced (red masks), then high priced (party hats), then extremely high price (crackers)

No offense but this sounds like the logic of someone who has never owned a rare or dealed in the rares market. He could buy it now and potentially lose 20-30M (I doubt they'll drop that low, but either way) or wait and buy them when they continue to drop. Santas are easily the most common rare in the game. Just because he waits a few months doesn't mean Santas are going to become as rare as crackers.

Also, random positive updates don't mean Santas aren't crashing. There have been tons of positive updates in the middle of the drop from 120-70M or whatever Santas are now.
