Rarebot?

I have been seeing a few threads about "rarebot."

Supposidly a "hacked" version of an old powerbot client.

I checked out the website and it looks promising.

Could I get some verification from someone trusted/staff etc that this is actually safe to download?

 

Just wait for the lawsuit coming from Powerbot...

 

I honestly don't care - all that matters is if the file is infected or not.

 

No it's not. It's perfectly safe to use. But PowerBot will probably launch a lawsuit.

Oh, there is none but they released a derivative work of RSBot 2, which violates the GPL license. So I wouldn't be surprised if Powerbot launches a lawsuit against them.

There's enough threads about it we don't need a million.
And the staff could care less about looking into and verifying some random bot.
Check it out, look at their forums, and decide yourself.
If it's not open source, then no one can check it out.

I'm sorry but I have an additional question. Why doesn't powerbot just copy their working injection bot then?

 

Not the staffs job to look into/care about each and every new bot that comes out.
Read the forums, use it yourself, use some common sense, figure it out for yourself!

 

If us, the users, use rarebot, would we get lawsuits? because were breaking the code or whatevs' ?

 

No!
Why do so many children think this.
Do you really think the court/government cares if a bunch of people are using a bot to play a game for them? NO!

Only the creators of REFLECTION bots are at risk of legal trouble for breaking copyright laws.

Just be cautioned, this could be infected and in a couple months after thousands of people have downloaded it could turn out to be a virus.
