Rapier vs Longsword?

Which one should I get? I have been thinking about longsword, its better than rapier in all stats, even at stab. Take a look at their stats.



So, why would someone want to have rapier when Chaotic ls owns it in all stats? It may be a little slower but there has to be something else.

Which one would u recommend me and why?​

 

In PVP, the rapier is often used because of the +6 speed bonus which gives opponents less time to eat but otherwise the longsword is a lot better. It may seem very tedious to give up a whole lot of strength and attack bonuses for an extra speed bonus but it does help a lot if your pking and your looking to kill your opponent quickly and efficiently.

PVM wise, the longsword is a lot better.

Speed = Good for Pking.
The Rapier already hits higher than most weapons, so at that point just get the speed.

 

Same reason people use Rune Scim in F2P rather than Rune Baxe...faster. And why range pures use darts to do damage then Cbow to ko...speed again. Rapier all the way. It mixes speed and power briliantly.

 

The rapier, simply put, is much faster than the longsword, causing it to do more damage per second. Additionally, the rapier has many more uses than its competition. It can be used for pking, slayer, training, dragons, staking and even bossing, in a pinch. The longsword is primarily used for bossing, specifically, Bandos GWD.

 

Rapier for it's speed.

 

look at it like this yesterday i bought my rapier and duel my friend same stats same armor same prayers

so i would advise a longsword it hits high but rapier hits faster

 

Well I have been thinking it alot, and maybe cls is the best option. It may be a little slower, but its stats are really high. rapier has speed and is useful for pking, but since I don't do it very often...

Get a rapier.

 

Rapier is faster and good for everyday stuff

Longsword is slow but hits higher.

 

Rapier is better than LS for most things (like some bosses)

 

Rapier for sure, Rapier owns bandos and at pking rapier->Korsai is almost a 85% ko chance.

 

it depends what you are going to do with it. I would choose rapier for staking and pking

Well... in my opinion Rapier is better because with it you can train faster, + its not just a decent weapon. its a real STRONG weapon. cls is however stronger, but slower. therefore not as good for training. as for bosses i think cls is good only at Bandos gwd and drags and maybe even dags. but if you just use rapier there instead of cls, i think the rapier will do the job too. so basically, rapier can do all things a cls can, but much faster. and its BEAST! for slayer

 

Rapier: fast, Strong, Looks good. Great Stab Bonus. Rapier by far especially for Frosting.
