Range Tank Help

Well I have decided to make a f2p range tank. And I need help on stats and such. And are they good for pking? Or should i make a different kind of pure?

 

Its pretty hard to do in F2P, Id say your best bet for skilling hobgoblins and guards to be honest. Or if you were to go to P2P you could do rock crabs and such.

 

Range tanks are really good imho, basic if you want to kill lower levels like 50 range 40 defense, but for high get like 70-80 each

 

I quite frankly have no trouble killing the same level pures (str pures, range pures, mage pures etc) because I'm able to out-last them in fights as well as do significant damage due to their poor defense.

For str pures and mage pures, I find them quite easy to kill with just ranged. Str pures might hit you high, but they often have trouble making hits, you just mow them down with increments of smaller damage (but still significant).

Range pures are the same. Even though a range pure might have 60 ranged compared to a tank with 50 ranged, in f2p, damage dealt with ranged aren't that significantly different. He might have 60 ranged, and hit 9 with an iron arrows while you have 50 and have no trouble hitting 7's on him. Plus, your defence will outlast him too.


Just becareful of other tanks you face.


I personally have no trouble taking down level 61 full-runers BECAUSE I've made my tank into a range/mage tank. If they have full armor, i'll just range/mage combo them until they're dead.

 

you should become pvp range tankers in f2p arent as good

 

what stats should i get? Im planning on getting 40 def just for the rune defence. And then maybe getting 50 magic and staying 50 magic for awhile until maybe i get p2p for it. Im not sure

 

Also 50 range and just keep training range.

 

Also maybe 43 prayer. Just because its only f2p

 

I have my own Range/tank legitly, currently level 61def and 65 range -- I was f2p 'til level 44/44 .. worked on mostly Scorpions, then guards.. once members, worked on Slayer tasks ^^
I heard also lesser demons are good + rock crabs for range levels... Also for defense levels, just Pest control it or the new Soul Wars game.

p.s I didn't get any atk, str, pray or mage yet... not really interested on working on those skills.

get 70+ ranged, 40 defence is good (for medium-high lvled f2p tanks), higher defence if you want to. And you can also get 43 prayer, it's personal opinion.

Train on hill giants, they give you big bones as well as limps (some times uncut diamonds, very rarely), so it's good start out cash. And you can just sit at a place and mow the giants down. Or if you want, train with lessers, although you'll need loads of food and it's far away from the bank.
