Quick Questions section

I'm suggesting there be a sub section in the off topic section for quick questions on any topic that any member from Sythe can ask or answer. There are many people here who have extended knowledge on various subjects and I think a small section should be dedicated to asking small questions to other members on Sythe to get a more personal opinion than Google can provide.

For example a member could ask "What is the best way to clean leather shoes?". Just to get other methods and opinions on the topic. Something similar to yahoo answers but without any reward system. Also I think post-count shouldn't be applied. To ensure that the section wont get flooded with spam or newcomers trying to get fast post-count. So the section can be solely based on helping others with small problems or sharing knowledge on different topics.

 

no support, sorry it wouldnt be the most active and you could easily use the spam forum for questions like that or any off topic page that its similiar to.

 

You can get many answers in STICKIES and google.

You can post in the respective section related to the topic... or

 

Mmm, I don't really see it becoming a very active section. Most people go straight to google or yahoo answers for that sort of thing. Plus a lot of people post questions like that in the General Discussion and Help, Requests section anyway/

 

If the section was opened, it would absolutely HAVE to have post count. otherwise there would General is already mostly full of people trying to raise post count, and while I see the logic behind trying to reduce incentives, it makes more sense simply to deal with some more spam and instead have it be an active section

Whether or not the section should be created however, I remain neutral.
