Quick mage question

Alright, so I am a f2per who has unlocked all the free combat spells (Level 62 magic) and I was wondering if you got more magic damage at higher levels or just unlocked better spells. So, in other words, should I stay at 62 or max it out to 99?

 

mage damage is set by spell, not level, you could be 62 or 99, your max hit will be the same.

 

Your max hit, like iHustle Treez said, will not increase while you level up. However getting a higher Magic level is better for accuracy, you will splash less!

 

And getting 99 mage would also be helpful if u ever wanted to go p2p

 

Yeah you should really upgrade, so many great aspects of the game just waiting to be unlocked!

 

I'd love to, but I don't want to get sucked into the game ALL that much again. Back in '06 I played it WAY too much for it too be healthy, and I don't think my parents would be happy if I began paying for it instead of saving for college.

 

Manage your time dude, only play scapes in your spare time, and your good!

 

Yeah I was a pretty big idiot back then and now I'm better at time management, I might give members another chance as soon as I have spare money...

 

your gear can affect how hard you hit but not level, level only affects accuracy

 

Your gear, unless you have a % damage boost, won't affect how much you hit. (In f2p I think only the dung necklace and maybe a staff affects the %boost?)

 

Getting 99 mage really isn't worth it for F2p, especially considering you won't be playing a lot, focus on more important skills.

 

Are there any really good skills to have at a really high level for ftp? Most don't have anything much past level 60...

 

I don't think so mate, obviously strength nd attack & range!

 

No damage increase, but pretty sure accuracy goes up. Also mage level affects your magic defense too, so higher is better really
