my family is getting a new better faster computer. i am naturally happy. i have a few questions however. 1. do i need to repurchase my WoW game and expansions to play on new computer? 2. is there a fast and easy way to transfer important quicken or microsoft word files from the old computer to the new one? thanks for any help you can give.
I think you just need to have the WoW disk or just re-download WoW, I'm pretty sure you don't need to re-purchase anything.
1. No, as long as you have the CD-Key then you're good to go. If you lost the CD's then its a little bit of a hassle but no problem. Basically just torrent the games + expansions off any website and then use the CD-keys for each game. 2. You can burn them all onto a disc and then transfer that disc to the new computer. Since each word document is probably only like 100kb anyways you can fit 1000's of documents on just one CD.
An easier way to get the WoW games if you've lost the CDs is to just download it from their website. It is peer to peer like bittorrent, but the P2P from their website is much, much faster.
or, go to the wow site, go to your account info stuff, it'll show once your logged in, the expansions your acc has, you can from there download all the expansions. alot easier btw.
