I have a quick question that needs answered. Does anyone know if there is a disorder where you grow tired of things fast? I find myself losing interest in every new change in my life, and it puts me into a depressive state.
Not that i know of mate, but honestly i feel the same way. It probably has roots to ADHD or something...
I am also the same way. I go out and spend a bunch of money on something nice, Within a few days... I'm bored of it and want something else. The only thing I seem to never grow sick of is my Girlfriend. I have found that with women, things are always changing therefor keeping me entertained. It probably helps that I'm not dating a boring girl either.. My only advice to you would to be find a girlfriend if you don't already have one or start a large project. Get into restoring and older car, if you are old enough.
It's called living in the 21st century, and it effects a lot of kids these days. It is a societal problem more than a person specific problem, because our entire society is built on instant gratification and if you don't get what you want out of it then you get bored with it. That is just my opinion though.
I was the same way. It's called taking things for granted. Once I went to juvie I realized never to take things for granted, because you don't know what you have until it's gone. I also have ADD though, so I lose interest in most things fast.
Nice answer man havent thought of it that way before.. Anyways yeah i find i have this feeling too and its affected my growing addiction on buying new things all the time. I'm not sure how to answer this myself but i think it might be some form of depression in a way like you said yourself. Heres something i found to hope it helps. Common adult ADD / ADHD symptoms: Trouble concentrating and staying focused Adults with ADD/ADHD often have difficulty staying focused and attending to daily, mundane tasks. For example, you may be easily distracted by irrelevant sights and sounds, quickly bounce from one activity to another, or become bored quickly. Symptoms in this category are sometimes overlooked because they are less outwardly disruptive than the ADD/ADHD symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsivity—but they can be every bit as troublesome. The symptoms of inattention and concentration difficulties include: “zoning out” without realizing it, even in the middle of a conversation. extreme distractibility; wandering attention makes it hard to stay on track. difficulty paying attention or focusing, such as when reading or listening to others. struggling to complete tasks, even ones that seem simple. tendency to overlook details, leading to errors or incomplete work. poor listening skills; hard time remembering conversations and following directions.
I have this feeling of always needing something new to keep me busy for self gratification. I have been trying to re-direct my attention to cheap/ free hobbies that are time consuming.
That just sounds like depression man. If you are feeling unmotivated and uninterested in activities that used to give you joy, it probably isn't some sort of disorder thats puts you INTO that depressive state, it is probably just depression that makes you feel like that.
im not positive i texted my uncle who is a doctor tho and he said it could be depression or anxiety i agree
this guy.... on topic, it may also have to do with your testerone levels and such if you think it puts you into a depressive state, check your blood pressure and testerone levels, you never know
