PVP Help.

So, I haven't done ANY Pking/pvping since Jagex took out Pking in late 07. So I just wanted someone to tell me out pvping, the differences from pvping to pking, and stuff a newby at pvping needs to know. I'm talking f2p not p2p btw.

F2p pking is pretty dull.
ALOT of range 2her's (many levels 40-55 or thereabouts)
Quite a few str pures, but at all levels.

Basically pking is nothing like it was :/

 

Its actually exactly like it was if you go to a BH world, sure the drops suck and the whole system kind of sucks. But the mechanics of pking are still basically the same (in f2p at least). If you are pking with a 1 def pure definitely do range/2h as that is the most powerful combination in f2p.

I assume you want to make money off of PVP, so I will approach answering your question from this perspective. There is a different between a PVP world and a bounty world, don't go into the bounty world! In PVP it is almost exactly like the old wildy, only you must be located by the wilderness to login, and the world exists only around the wilderness. For instance if you attempt to teleport to Lumbridge you will only teleport to Edgeville. In F2P there's few people who are actually good at PKing. Lots of low 70s, high 60s rocking full rune who are easy to take down with a tactical approach. When I try to challenge F2P I always take my ranger with the runes to preform the bind spell. I just bing them and continue fireing until they've run out of their precious lobsters and die. If you're a melee then I would suggest lots of high level food, probably swordfish. Pot up, these guys will probably focus on their strength, so if you beat them there you've practically won. It may take up some inventory where you could have food, but if you have items you can't afford to loose take some teleportation runes, trust me its worth it when you get into trouble. If you're going as a mage, use bind just like when you're a ranger. If the melees can't hit you, you can't die! Be sure to remember that even if you're the best there ever was at PKing, you're probably going to die. Even the best die and it's a part of the game, don't get discouraged by it. Also be sure you know you can win a fight before you get in it, don't rush into a multi-combat area with 12 people of the same level who aren't attacking each other, they've formed a clan to pile on unsuspecting people.

 

Just wanted to clear this up real fast, it is on a bounty world that you must be in edgeville/GE/Wilderness to log in, and all teleports will take you to Edgeville. PvP worlds are literally the entire world.
