    PS3 Linux Help

So I want to install Linux on my old PS3. I have a 130gb HDD inside of it.

Here is my issue though. I do NOT have a working PS3 DVD/Blu-Ray Drive,
but I have a External USB DVD-Drive. CAN I use that?

OR!! Is there ANY POSSIBLE WAY, to boot the install from an External HDD?
    (I have a 2 250gb, and a 1tb.)

No, I don't think it's possible. Also, it doesn't matter how big your hard drive is, Linux will only partition up to 10GB's.
