Project: Private School Logo

Alright - a private school has asked me if I can design a logo for them, of course I said yes. What they are looking for is something that will be recognizable like the coke "swish" render, the AT&T sphere, or even that orange cingular guy. It will need to be high resolution seeing as it will go on name tags, t-shirts, hoodies, websites, and business cards.

So basically I was wanting to get some help from some of the pro's over here at Sythe, maybe just some helpful brainstorming or if any of you have an idea in your head feel free to explain it or throw out a rough draft logo.

I'll be throwing out some things I come up with as I think them up, right now I'm in the process of installing cs2 on my linux pc so it will be a bit. What the kids want is something that looks like it would be the logo for a band t-shirt or something, if you can picture that.

Heres the old/current logo: As you can see its very boring.

 

Maybe the H could curl around the rest of the letters, like the Coke swish, if you get what I mean? Maybe a softer font, more defined... clearer background...

The old logo looks rather dated, so I can see why it needs updated. Good luck!

I just had a flash of imagination that crossed my mind. Why don't you make the text like vines and make it into a bushy type of thing? I don't really know how to explain it.

well first of all their current "logo" isn't a logo it's more of a banner. So I think you should start from scratch work with what their mascot is etc. Have a logo/symbol then the schools name work around/with it.
