Private Server Questions

Recently, I downloaded a clean source, involving nothing on it. I take a look at the files and I do not recognize any of them. I need help finding out what does the file ext. does and if I can edit them.

The ext. are:

.dat
.class
.cfg

If none of these are editable with notepad, how do I access what npc's drop, npc's hitpoints, items requirements, and commands.

you can edit .cfg and theres no .java files? you need them

 

Didn't come with any. I figured that since it was a clean source it didn't need .java files.

 

sooo.. you plan on making the .java files from scratch? you need .java
