prayer vs mage

should i spend the cash to get from 70-82 prayer, buy claws/tassies, or get 94/99 mage?

 

what would be the perk of getting 82 prayer?

the leech curses are actually worse than the regular boosting prayers and everyone cries when you use them in pvp.

alching is the conventional solution.
the quickest way would be to barrage mummies or something for mass xp
the cheapest way would probably be to superheat steel bars.. I think that's profit.
Alch stunning if you have mage brawling gloves is also a good way to do it.
