Potential scam?

So basically i'm buying this pin from a leecher. It's Pay by Text and he's only charging me $3. He is willing to go first as well. I'm just really worries because generally if its too good to be true.. it is. What do you guys think?

Probably a stolen phone which will get recovered or something and you get negative members.

 

Yeah, it's possible to refund the money back to the seller when paying by mobile.. this puts you in negative Jagex credits and removes your membership. I'd avoid.

Well basically he said to me that he stole some guys phone. Afterwards he offered a free one. I left. not getting into that kind of crap :/
