Polygamy?

Girlfriends and wives are completely different.

The law says nothing about dating multiple people and/or having sex with them. However, marriage is a legal contract. Cheating and having multiple wives is against the law. Actually, legally, a polygamist is only married to the first person they married.

 

No, it's rediculous. I beleive in same sex marriage. I'm fine with that but polygamy??? That's just odd... There's a reason why it's not a part of the Mormon religion anymore. If everyone's happy then... Good luck :/ but idk... I find it very very odd.

I won't look at the people differently btw, just that idea... It's just wrong.

 

In some cultures its part of being a man or woman. If everyone in the part is happy then i say let them be. It becomes more of a legal issue in the US when a person has more than one spouse, i think thats the reason its outlawed here. Also i think thats the issue with gay marraige too. Although I dont support it I think it would be too big of a change to enforce, It would rewrite things that have been established for years. But at the end of the day isnt husband and wife just a label?

 

Labeling things as wrong or right explains nothing. It just labels them.

 

Not my bowl of corn flakes. I am traditional with the whole marriage thing, and I guess I'm a little selfish because I don't want to share my man.

But that's just me.

 

I think it's a statistical issue too. If the balance of male/female is about equal, but there are 3 wives for every husband, 2 thirds of the male population are stripped of the ability to have children. What is the logic in that?

 

Not really a problem since that male could potentially have babies with all 3 different wives at any given time, no? And on a side note, I think the last thing we need is more babies.

 

That only happens if it is widespread, which it isn't.

 

My wife gets so pissed when I bring up anything about this.

Imagine having multiple wives, living in multiple houses, so they are on separate menstral cycles so you always have some place safe to go?

I see nothing wrong with it as long as all parties are consenting into the situation.
