Poll Forum

Not sure if this has been suggested, if it has please lock.


There should be a forum in the Off-Topic category called "Polls" or something along those lines.
In this forum, only threads with polls can be posted.

 

And the point of that would be?

 

=/ that would be boring... maybe site polls of the month on the homepage set up by Sythe for updates or something random... that would be cool

 

Something to do, something fun.

 

We would have a bunch of newfags trying to get there postcount up by posting retarded polls

I remember something like a "Fast threads" section being suggested before. Post count would be disabled but you're not allowed to spam useless messages. I forgot why, but it was turned down by staff.

 

It will be easy to detect who is doing that and who isn't... Infraction will be given. The off-topic mods could always use something else to do, eh?

 

You say that like the off topic mods are doing very little.

I don't agree with your suggestion. Like the RS Pictures forum, it would be spammed to get postcount up. And what is the use of all these polls? What would people post there?

"Should I eat steak or chicken?". Its pretty silly to make a whole forum dedicated to silly topics, in my opinion.

RuneLocus has a polls forum and it seems to run pretty well, pretty spam free.

 

No. We would have mixed polls (some for RS, some for IRL stuff) all in the same place.

 

Off-Topic section = Off-Topic polls

 

Then why is it called a 'Poll Forum'? It'd be called a 'Off Topic Poll Forum', which I see no point of since there aren't that many polls.

 

There WILL be polls if this forum is put in. Some polls are interesting and stuff.

Plenty of polls are already posted in Off-Topic/SFA, why would we need a new forum?
