    Poem.

    Dog

I throw a stick as far as I can,
Thinking you'll bring it back is my plan.
You run out of sight and then you come near,
Dropping the stick, you watch as I cheer.

After a long day we retreat to the house,

I smile as you chase a mouse.
Panting as you drink and eat,
Then you go to sleep, curled at my feet.

Next day we wake up and go for a tireless walk,

You race downstairs with the mouse giving me a shock.
We race out the door, to begin our journey,
First place is what we seek of this tourney.

We go home with the gold, along with trophy,

Realizing our fame is becoming a lot like Anne Sophie.
The training never seems to stop, though, so we head out,
We'll win next year everyone says, but that we doubt.
