Ok, here's what I need to know: I need to know how to play a PC game (Populous: The Beginning) WITHOUT the CD cause I used uTorrent to install it but it needs a CD to play... so if anyone knows of any patch or method to make it work, I'd appreciate it. ...... you know enough to use torrents you should by now know how to get game cracks. you get a game crack and paste it into your game directory. http://www.megagames.com/cracks/html/33110_0.htm select Game Fixes and find the version of your game and than once you download it copy it and paste it in your game directory. when it asks if you should over-write click Yes. havefun.
actually i was lucky to find out how to get the game up and running much less even find any of the stuff i needed but wats a directory??
ok so i have the thing on WinRaR wats next?? there are these files: cd-rip.txt crk_pop3USv101.com evc.nfo [email protected] and file_id.diz whats next!?
k so i directory is the folder where you installed the game. in the beggining when you were in the install screen you probably just clicked Next and you installed it in the directory it sets which is usually in your Hard Drive C and in your program files. Now what you do is you run the .rar file with the crack (get it from the link i posted) and at this point extract the .rar file on your desktop (just for now we will delete it later). Copy the file(s) you just extracted and paste them into your game folder (directory). At this point it will ask you if you want to replace the files click yes. Now just delete the game icon you have on your desktop and make a whole new shortcut and it should work.
