Please explain

Brandon just used a proxy to make a post, which was quickly deleted. Don't know how many people caught it, but he said (if it was the real "brandon") saying he doesn't talk to drew and that he didn't do the scamming but he helped to hack and "secure" the msn for whoever he let use it.

Odd it got deleted so quickly.

Skele, I have always, always seen you very fair and if that is your honest assessment, I will accept it, even though it seems questionable from my perspective.

 

Andrew's facebook has no activity from the 11th to the 14th. He posted the report on the 14th. If he hadn't gone on facebook in 3 days what are the chances he wasn't on the computer for those 3 days? He sure as hell wasn't on Skype, which makes me further believe Brandon couldn't have had contact with him beforehand. Previously he had activity on his facebook everyday including the 11th, 10th, and 9th.

 

What about the pictures, what dates were the pictures created? If he was offlien for those 3 days, and the pictures coincide with the times he was offline it would give at least something that shows he might not have been in on this and was indeed scammed.

 

The pictures were posted on the 16th, but that doesn't necessarily mean they were taken on the 16th. I'm looking for timestamps.

Maybe this whole thing should be dropped and the guy who was banned should be unbanned, there is no definitive proof against him being part of the scam and nothing (as of yet) that proves he wasn't part of it. With nothing but a list of hypothetical; the judgment should be lifted and Drew (if that's his name, I don't know him) would be unbanned as it isn't a fair ban if there is nothing to prove that he was indeed a scammer.

 

We can only conclude that Drew either told the truth, or that it was a set up. As we ruled that Drew had been lying about this situation, a ban is appropriate.

 

What do you mean lying about the situation? He got scammed, reported it, and got banned because of that.

 

Usually I do agree with most of what you say, Skele. I'm still not sure about this one though, the complete lack of proof is a really big thing here. While the mods do handle things quite often and are more intricate on the subject this would seem like a special case; Either he did or didn't, if he didn't he's lost (I believe) an account or two and been banned on sythe. If he was part of it he didn't lose anything but was banned from sythe, it seems like this guy took too much of a risk to gain X amount of money when he could have made more just being a legitimate seller on Sythe.

This is all in fact just speculation on my part, however this entire thing is filled with speculations and has become far too gray and things looked like it floated in a way favorable to one member of the party.

However, i'm done with this topic. I've tried what I can do to help either side, and this will just float off into an off-topic hate war. I'll give it a week or two before it all dies off and everything goes back to normal.

But in drews defense I am good friends with Brandon and I heard nothing from Brandon about Tyros MSN being hacked and I speak with Brandon daily.

 

Think of it from the other side; if Drew and Brandon had worked together, would they really go about gloating about it? It would be a deterrent to their plot and the logical thing would be to stay quiet. Perhaps not even tell the rest of the "crew".

Sorry, but your "logical" reasoning doesn't work.

 

Your logical proof is based on assumptions and beliefs, you can't really call it logical if there is nothing definitive to back it up.

I thought Drew was on vacation, there are pictures and he wasn't online for that duration the night before the scamming took place, so therefore he wasn't in on this plot. It's the same kind of logic, unless I missed something from your post on page 2.

Really though, both sides seem to be ingrained in what they *think* is right and unless something that can truly prove one side correct (I doubt anything will come out now) will change the circumstances.

I really do need to drop this topic though, so i'll leave it here. For reals this time.

Yeah, i'm not missing anything here. Your "logic" as in the dictionary definition still wasn't very sound as it was still just based on assumptions. I really didn't want to continue but at this point I kind of have to over something like that. If you would like to show me what i'm not understanding about these definitions, please do and i'll delete this whole segment just for you.

 

In all honesty, I think banning Drewskyd was the right decision.

I don't keep up with the various "crews" and online friendships, but when it comes down to it, it seems as if Brandon and his little posse are nothing but troublemakers. In a situation like this, keeping them around is simply asking for more trouble.

You're arguing against some of the most trustworthy, honest, and intelligent people on Sythe. Just the fact that they are all on the Staff doesn't mean that they are sticking up for each other. Look how quickly Rawr got banned.

We're talking about a situation involving questionable and indecisive evidence. Due to this, the Staff can only rule based on reasoning, which in this case points to Drewskyd being guilty.

I have no love for all these threads bickering amongst the staff and these various groups of friends, so in my opinion, good riddance. Tyro is a great person and at this point, I wouldn't even bother him to repay anyone. He has proved his worth time and time again.

Did you read the thread? The only "proof" is "logical" proof which is absolutely nothing. I actually found evidence of him not being online and on vacation. Tyro's personality has nothing to do with this.

Due to this, the Staff can only rule based on reasoning, which in the case points to Drewskyd being DISCONNCETED from the Skype crew and therefore UNABLE to collaborate with Brandon. Why would he help somebody he had scammed him before? If we want to prove this "logically" then Tyro should be banned until he can pay it back, because "logically" Brandon and Drew aren't friends and wouldn't work together.

 

Simply out of curiosity, can you show me proof of this?
