PlaySound doesn't work

my message didn't post correctly, so i repeat my msg

hi.

i would like to know, how to use this procedure? when i put it into my script, it just doesn't work. i don't get any sound.

look at this example:

 WriteLn(IntToStr(GetSoundDuration('C:\WINDOWS\Media\ding.wav')));
  PlaySound('C:\WINDOWS\Media\ding.wav'); 

it properly finds that file, prints it duration, but sound is not played.

what can be reasons for this? does this procedure needs any initialization or setup? should i check some settings?

 

Make sure you have the updated SCAR and updated SRL just incase, make sure you have the RIGHT link to the sound object before you do this.

 

Versions are fine. SCAR Divi 3.11, SRL 3.8.

Any other ideas?

and by the way, how to make these forums be viewed as plain text? like simple version or something
