Paypal Warning!

Okay, so just as a warning to everyone, do NOT log onto your Paypal from a different IP address than where you created the account at. My Paypal account did not have a credit card, bank account, or anything personal associated with it. I had 15 dollars on it, and then I logged into my Paypal at my school with my laptop. They then said a third party was accessing it, and they locked it. In order to unlock it I have to link it to a credit card. This is really frustrating...

 

I've opened it on another IP addresses. Probably something to do with you being on school campus

 

maybe... but like instantly it happened (also the paypal account was set on australia even though i live in the usa... that way i could send cash while being unverified)

 

It's more likely that your school's IP address has been used on multiple paypal accounts and one of them had a problem which resulted in every paypal account associated with the IP address being locked.

I've used my paypal on about 5 different locations and never had a problem.

 

I've logged into my paypal from a few locations and nothing has happened to me. wierd.

 

Why not just use a canadian one , anyway just call them and usually they will unlock it if you signed up with correct info and can verify it

Were you connected to the school internet?
Maybe that has something to do with it.

 

Excuse me, but I have a dynamic IP address, which means it changes every time my router restarts. I've been using PayPal for years. This has no credence, just one of those fuckups that happen from time to time.

 

Also, every time I turn of my modem it changes my ip.

I still can log in. It's probally your school shit. Bad luck.

 

You're just an idiot. I've had my current paypal for almost 3 years and i've logged on in multiple places.

 

How far away is your school from your house?

 

I currently have a Canadian PayPal no real address,no credit card,and no real name either.I've change my computers I.P many many times and it's still working.

 

i got 2 cp with diff IPs and i logg in to my paypal at both, and nothing happens

 

well, it was at my school which is about 1 hour away... i cant remember if i was using a proxy. im guessing that either the school or the proxy were associated with bad paypal actions, so i guess i cant do anything to recover it =/

 

I think this is a good thing. It helps protect our accounts.

Yes. It somestimes locks it if you log in from school because other people also use paypal and you are all on the same i.p.

 

I searched a little bit on the interweb and I may have found you a solution.
