paypal charge back help

Hello i have a question if my paypal has 50$ and some person does a trade and sends me 200$ to my paypal acount and that few mins i go buy something that cost 200$ and later he charges back. what will happen?

 

Then your paypal balance will probably be -150$

 

how will i ever know tell it's safe to buy something?

 

At a certain point the person can no longer charge back on their credit card. I think they have up to 4 months to do it, but i'm not positive.

 

180 days I believe.

 

It's 6 months to chargeback, and if he chargebacks you will have $50 again + $20 chargeback fee.

Yes. Visa/Mastercard etc, charge PayPal a fee for chargebacks and they pass it on to you.

 

Yeah PayPal charges you for getting chargedback... When it happened to me I was able to talk my way out of paying it though.

 

Since when??? :huh: >_< Damn Paypal just seems to want to get a bad reputation.

Anyways well if you want to make sure this doesn't happen try to find trusted people and not accept payments from credit card funded sources as those are extremely easy to chargeback and dispute.
