OMM Scamming?

Has it ever happened before? How and when? What was the amount of cash/money traded?

I'm just curious.

 

Uhmm I believe its happened several times, Louis scammed, Plznate scammed, Feren attempted to scam, and there was one more who was banned then unbanned then banned again but I can't remember his name. Probably more OMMs who have scammed before but I know the OMMs we have currently are very trustworthy such as HHN, FireZ, N4n0, Nick, etc.

 

Yeah, I do remember Vietballer was an OMM who actually scammed an OMM trade. However he was able to convince that it was his imposter so he did get unbanned and scammed again.

Feren attempted to use his power to scam but luckily someone caught him before he planned it. Those are the two I know for sure that scammed an OMM trade or tried to.

Plznate didn't scam an OMM trade but he did scam. He did pay back those people who scammed him though thankfully.

We have more trusted OMM than scammers and I firmly believe the OMM we have right now won't end the same results. However, you can't be sure on someone's judgement.

What was the amount scammed in the cases?

And the amount of cases where the OMM scams.. is surprisingly more than I had expected. I need to be cautious even when using OMM's now.

 

Louis never really scammed, he was just an awful middleman and allowed a scam to happen.

 

I don't think this was the case.

Feren Silver was conspiring to scam an extremely high amount - I believe it was 10B.

 

This was the case however he could have made them just look like botched trades.

 

Louis tried to scam me. He logged into his own imposters msn and tried to MM and then switched to his legit one to confirm it was him when I pointed out the OMM we were using was fake.

 

Louis didn't scam. He was just a terrible OMM who, because he doesn't know how to PM, lost some kid hundreds of mills.

Louis scammed an OMM trade, it was with bills. I believe he traded the wrong guy, misplaced the gp or something, he kept it though...

 

Plznate was an official middleman also.
Those are the only ones I can think of. But i'm sure theres more.

 

People have to submit an OMM application, found here. Even after finishing the application, they can sometimes be denied by the HMM (Head Middle Man).

 

Louis did scam, lets get that fact straight.

 

Two people that come to my mind are Shredderbeam and Dorito.

 

Darren never actually scammed anyone, right? He just did shit for sigex.

 

Based on what I've seen (just by lurking through the High Pardon section), Dorito was a disgustingly corrupt OMM. Makes me sad that someone would tarnish such a prestigious rank like that..

 

Shredderbeam was indirectly scamming, from what I heard he was aiding Sigex in scams.

 

I'm not even sure why this thread is in this section, shouldn't ban discussion be disallowed?
