Well, i left WoW for about 4 months, and just afew hours ago i renewed my subscription.

Now my 80 dk is pretty dam boring, though im fairly good at it. His gear isnt amazing, probably a 5.4k GS.

Im wanting to level a shaman,

Now for leveling should i go enhancement or elemental?

I have 180 triumph badges to buy heirloom gear with, and about 400 stonekeeper shards.

Any ideas?

Tips with the DK ? Dk is currently frost DPS for PvE and unholy for PvP ( spell pen spec )

 

Try unholy dps, or maybe even tanking?
And level enhance

 

Eh IMO you should level elemental/resto so you can get quick dungeons when you need them. The gear for both specs is relatively the same aside from resto needing some MP5 here and there.

 

If solely questing enhancement beats elemental. If your gonna do some instances here and there then verts is 100% correct they gear is basically the same resto just gets mp5 and elemental gets crit/haste for resto you will be using ele off pieces for some haste at higher levels.

 

I'd be leveling 2h Enhance untill you hit mid teenss then go ele, if you have BoAs. Once you hit 40 and get the option to duel weild I'd go enhance. When you hit 70 right back to ele xD

Come 4.0 I'd go enhance up to 70 though.


With your initial leveling I'd be using crusader too.

 

Ele til dual wield imo you will kill faster.Maybe not due to downtime but enh is always more efficient while leveling via quests.

^ Being able to get quick queues is nice, going ele / resto is the way to go.

I leveled my shaman as elemental, and I was able kill everything before it got to me and once I hit 60 I had pretty much no down time.

Do you think i would be better off questing? Or spam doing dungeons as a healer

 

Do a mix of both. I got from 1-80 in about a week on my priest through questing with a mix of dungeons. Always pick up the quests that can be completed in dungeons - they give tons of XP

A mix but at lower levels it's hard to find groups even as a healer at times. I actually stopped queuing as a healer and just quested through outlands and northrend. i only spam dungeon finder when i don't wanan quest in a specific area.

I wouldn't recommend this, unless your terribly bored always stay Qued and take dungeon pops when you want, particularly as you start getting into those 60+ levels.

 

i find questing more efficient in northrend and outlands it's all on personal preference me and a friend did a test of me queuing and him questing and he hit 80 before me because xp isn't all that great in northrend dungeons.
