Obby Mauler-- Help needed!

How much should i have before i start pking?

What should i wear?

And what should other levels be? (I know i need 60 str min.)

Anything will do, it's basically for looks, but have a P++ dagger, combat bracelet, and glory/strength ammy depending on how much you want to risk. Anti-drag shield may be hand to have in invy incase of summ pure with a DFS.

Only other thing is is enough HP so you don't get 1 hit, that or rocktails. Also getting magic to where you don't level may be handy for not getting hit by mage pures. Same for range, it may be good to get low range so you can lower their HP with knives then pull out a maul.

 

I plan on only useing maul and no range! So just 60 str and a full iron with srt ammy and monkfish inv as food with pots sound ok?

I'd recommend you to get the berserker necklace first
Its a one time buy, definelly worth it. At 60 str it increases your max hit by like 40

Plus you wouldnt even risk enough with just Full Iron and str ammy (unless you go pvp/non +1 bh)

About stats, you should get 20/40 range for chaps.
13 is also the best prayer lvl (way better than 1 or 31)

if you want to use solid melee you're going to want the following:

55 slayer
60+ strength
5M+ cash to play around with
Obsidian Maul
Berserker Necklace
Slayer's Staff

you can melee people with the slyer's staff, then pull the maul for big hits. Make sure to use a berserker necklace in the (+1 world you won't lose it) for the added strength bonus when using the maul.
The necklace does have a -20 defence bonus in all areas, so if you want to be real silly you can take a str ammy for use with the staff, then change to maul and necklace for big hits.

 

ya id deffinately get zerker necklace, but im always a fan of obby maul and range because obby mauls in my experience dont ko too well unless your fighting someone inexperienced.

You'll defintely want zerker necklace. Getting 55 slay with low str will be hard however. So slayer staff inst for amateurs.

 

Yeh you will want quite a bit of money especially now that old wild is coming back you will be risking your beserk neckless well thats if they get rid of the pvp +1 worlds. SLayer staff / maul is the best bet but if you cant be bothered to get the slayer just range with darts and switch to maul, if not then think about getting 20 attack but no more, get climbing boots before u level attack if your gunna do that, i did it on my obby pure because i couldnt stand the hits i was getting with 1 attack.
