Not Getting Scammed Guide

Let's say you have 50M on your account and your going to let some guy on your account (for quest service, fire cape service etc).
Are you going to trust someone with 50M on your account..?
WELL... I DID...
It was in items, they sold it all and was most likely going to xfer it all..
I was thinking of ways to prevent this..
And i came up with a great idea...

BLACK MASKS!!
You can buy black masks with 10 charges!
They are 1.4M a piece..

So this is how it works..
With your 50M you buy 35 Black masks with 10 charges (the max you can buy with 50M).
Unfortunatley this is the time consuming part..
You have to use them all till they have 9 charges...
Black masks are unsellable at 1-9 charges..
And you can only re-sell them at 0 Charges..
So..
If the person wants to steal your cash they would have to go use ALL the black masks which would take a very long time (and get you some slayer/attack exp at the same time).
After they have done that they then need to xfer your gold which would take several hours too..

It's not really a scam prevention because they still could do it..
BUT... it keeps you very safe because it only takes like 2 hours to get a fire cape. or lets say a day to do some quests..
they aren't going to get all the black masks down to 0 in time to steal your money..

and it wouldn't stop them from just dropping everything either. Theres a couple different types of scammers. Yes that does stop one of the types, but if they are just cynical and want to ruin your fun of the game. They'll drop everything.

Ive got an even better idea. Gear up for them and dont give them a bank pin. If they need it log on and get the stuff out that they need. Problem solved. Its not that hard

 

Pretty much nailed it, the only time you'll have to give your PIN is probably when questing/skilling.

 

Most skills eg.woodcutting and mining can just use deposit boxes.
Some can't though.

Big problem with this is you get stuck with say 35blk masks (if they arnt all droped lol!) Then you have to take a hell of alot of time to get them too 0 in which case you could have done jad 3-4times and probbably beaten him.

Which would leave no risk for losing 50m.....

 

they could just alch your masks im not sure what they alch for but whatever it does alch for they would steal. so gf 50m :/

 

lol, if u got these masks yourself how will you sell them again if u need money?
and there's still a way to kill someone in pvp with black masks (9) they still count as risk so.

A even better way is just buy soemthing aroudn the max ur cash and lend it out for 24 hours ?

 

or just don't give anyone that isn't trusted your password.
