New update sucks..!

I want to know if the mage assist works for attack spells.

Get a lvl 3 casting barrage o_0 Eh, I'm sure that doesn't work.

Anyway, yes, that is a pretty dumb update.

 

runescape needs to step there game upp .....badly

 

Trying too hard to be more like WoW.... and it's not working.
The assistance aspect of WoW is WAYYYY better.
They should have something closer to it, just put the item in a certain slot in the trade screen and higher level players can gem cut or bar smith or fletch for another player at a charge.
If they're going to try to be more like WoW, then why not follow through and stop being so halfassed?

I dont even get how to use the assistance system. I've tried it, but i didnt know what to do after i get to the screen.

 

only enchanting u can assist magic. if u dont like the update quit runescape and dont play again god dang it. easy as pie.

 

Ya. lame update for sure. At this point, Jagex is just spinning off any random idea that comes up in the lab. Useless update.

 

Jagex lacks the sense to know how the update will affect the game.

 

Yeah no joke im really unhappy with this update.
Im thinking prices will go down in some things slowly?

I doubt this update will be used at all. The possibilities for common use are very limited.

 

I JUST thought of a way to use this... If you're trying to get exp, and don't care about items, then let someone 'borrow' your level to perform skills.
Example :
If you have 75+ WC and are trying to get to 99, you let someone use your level to cut magics.... They unfortunately get the logs, but you get the exp for just standing there. Maybe put something on your keyboards arrow key so you won't log. They said up to 30k exp per day in each skill I think it was. Also, any word on if randoms can get you while you're performing an assist?

Can also be used to help a lower lvl craft or some gay crap.
Either way, one big gay useless update.

 

At first, I thought this update was a wild change. But, having used it a bit, it's not a huge deal:

With con, you can only use assistence for flatpack items, which previously could be sold/traded anyway. (Moreover, you can't build beyond your work table's ability). With mage, you cannot use any attack spell. WC, mining, and fishing are mostly useless, since the assister has to be nearby and motionless. Smithers and crafters have always offered their services. etc.

The main difference, I expect, will be a player's willingness to assist - which is especially apparant so immediately after this update, but will probably start to fade a little.

And it's 30k xp total, for all skils. Though I personally hate the limit, if they didn't have it, people would simply employ autoers to request assistance and give them xp - and then take the blame, when caught.

I like the update. Whenever I go deep pking with my high lvl friends, I bring a pick with me and get some rune ores On the way by Rune Rocks.Why so much bothersomeness towards the update, It's pretty ok.

 

This update owns...Its like there players that need gym cut or To alch but they got 1 mage and craft , So they assist other player they cut the gym and the other player get exp. Kinda nice idea from my side. It will help alot players now.

 

I dont care, its not in the way in any sort and its good to know its there if you need it. Stat thing is horrible tho..

 

who dont like the update - just ignore it

 

its so thrash, i dont think i will be ever using it. jagex loves messing things up and making things worst
