New Desktop Background...

it's not that great in my opinion because it strayed so far from my original idea that eventually I just finished it in order to say I'm done... tell me what you think!

pritty good i dont like the effects around the edge of the gear dude tho

 

that was my best way of getting him to blend effectively without background manipulation, and I wanted to use the distort filter really bad =D.

 

lol anyways great job i love the coloers!

 

thanks, you might not know, but the stock I used as the background was a forest scene with an owl landing on a tree..... it was quite beautiful till i tweaked it to get my end result...

If you would have ghosted in the effect that you gave your render over the top of him, like you did the edge, it would have turned out much better. I'm sure you've noticed now that larger backgrounds are more difficult than a little signature That's why I make more of them than I do signatures, anymore.

yeah smi... this was originaly in 12-something x 768...? larger than how photobucket resized it. Ill try adding the effect you mentioned... i hope i didnt overwrite the .psd as flattened...however last time i lightly covered the render with what i thougit was a cool effect the image got bad reviews =/
