New Computer Speakers..

I just purchased some Insignia NS-PCS41 2.1 computer speakers from BestBuy.

I've set it up, as directed. Even their lame steps of shutting the computer off before plugging the stuff in..

It powers up and everything, just no sound is produced. I've tried them on my PC, iPod, and Xbox 360 and none of them have worked. Is it a driver issue or something, or is it bad hard ware?

 

It is definitely not the drivers, since no drivers are required for speakers. It is most likely hardware related. Make sure that no cords are loose, make sure that all of the cords are plugged in, and make sure that the speakers are getting sufficient power.

 

Well, I've plugged them into surge protectors, directly into the wall, just about anything you could think of.

They power up fine, it's just that no sound is produced.

 

They were probably dead on arrival.

 

I would return them, you've done everything you could possibly do - I'm pretty sure Best Buy would understand.

 

Take them back,

They will swap them bitches out for you, on site!
