NetBeans and Java

Is it better to use NetBeans then the command line? The interface seems much better and it is easier to compile.

 

It's not 'better', so to speak. It's much easier.

And fuck NetBeans. IntelliJ IDEA ftw.

 

i use jbuilder. its not visual like i think netbeans may have a plugin for, but its still great.

jbuilder is a dieing product. eclipse has a future.

even jbuilder is moving to eclipse.

In the second half of 2006, Borland will move to Eclipse as the underlying integration platform for JBuilder.

 

There are loads of different comilers out there these days lol. I have JCreatorPro.
There are:
-JCreatorPro
-JCreatorLE
-Jbuilder
-Eclipse
-JDK
-Netbeans.

All of these have their weaknesses and all of them have their strong point. It all depends on what suits you the best.

 

jGRASP is good for people beginning. Google it.

 

i use IntelliJ IDEA for larger project and JCreator for minor file edits.

 

I used Eclipse for large projects and BlueJ for small ones.

I don't use IDEs for Java. Then again, I rarely code Java stuff. Notepad or Gedit (depending on what OS I'm on at the time) are usually all I need. I suppose if I ever worked on something large scale...then I probably would use an IDE. I've heard good stuff about IntilliJ IDEA but I haven't used it before.

 

Eclipse pwns JDK.

 

Eclipse wouldn't be able to compile without the JDK...
