    f(x)= {2 - x for x <= 1 and 3 x - 2 for x > 1}
    g(x)= {0 for x < 2 and -3 for x >= 2}
    Find

    1. f + g
    2. (f o g)

    I just need to know how in the world do you add these sorts of functions.

    Don't they give you a point or even an x-value? There's no way to do this without an x-value because this is a piecewise function.

    NO he didnt give any points, just f +g.... That is why im confused, i dont know how piecewise functions can add up.

    Have you drawn a graph for this? The graph should give you points to work off of. g(x) should be boundaries for your f(x) series if I remember correctly?

    Try using this to plot out all of your functions: http://fooplot.com/#W3sidHlwZSI6MCwiZXEiOiJ4XjIiLCJjb2xvciI6IiMwMDAwMDAifSx7InR5cGUiOjEwMDB9XQ--

    So... When x=2 on g(x), y=-3. You take those for your f(x). -3=3x-2, x = -1/3 (0.333[repeat])

    Now do the same on the other end. When x=1 on g(x), y=0. Plug that into your f(x). 0=2-x. x=2. Plug that into fooplot and check it out. ;)

    You will need 4 different plots: {x=0, x=-3} change these two to red so you can distinguish them and {2-x, 3x-2} leave these black. Use that and check out the different points. You can scroll in and out on the graph as well.

    can you post a pic of the problem? i can maybe help, but it would be a lot easier for me to do so if i could see a pic rather then looking at it through here. weird but that's just how I do things haha.

    Question 3
