Need Internet Help

For anyone says anything stupid I'm 18, and my step-dad is a prick and wants me gone anyway possible. Now somehow he gets the internet to turn off every night at 12 and im wondering how he did and how can i put it back to normal so it doesn't turn off at 12 i only have an hour left to figure it out if anyone knows please help.

 

Are you using Winows Vista or Windows 7?

If so you can control what hours the computer can be allowed onto the internet.

Unless thats just for general computer use I'm not fully sure.

There are programs to control what times internet can be used. Like I know my linksys router can do that.

EDIT: If you are able to manually set the time at the bottom right back a few hours. Maybe this will help.

Ok my first suggestion is to go to http://www.whatismyip.com/

copy that number it gives you and paste in into your browser. It will bring you to a page where you will need to login. to log in the default for linksys should be leave the username blank and password "admin"

Be very careful and do not touch any buttons you don't know about. Go to "Access and Restrictions" and scroll down to Schedule. See if anything is set their.

Your steps are right for the most part. However, you don't want to your desktop's IP, you want the router IP. Generally it is 192.168.1.1 (or some similar variation - can be found on Google). Follow his steps from there. I can help over MSN if you need help.

 

It came up and he had it labeled as "Damn Kids" so im assuming that's right i changed the time to 24 hours and disabled all the bullshit he had on the system

 

As long as you saved the changes after that you should be allset =)

 

I would change the name to "Dumb Ass" or "I'm not stupid" just as a slap in the face. I would be pissed. Maybe change everything and give him a guest account so he can't fuck around anymore.

I personally think he does anything he can to bother me, but he cant bother me and now he has a new found respect for me since i was accepted into the Marine Corps...Either way ill never fucken get along with him.
