Need help.

Ok, so yesterday i download Harold & Kumar newest movie off linewire.

The file is called : Harold.and.Kumar.Escape.from.Guantanamo.Bay.UNRATED.(2008).DVDRip.XviD-DiAMOND.(PeerWeb.org).AVI

Since its an .avi file i tried clicking and draging into a Clean DVD and burn it.

When i tried on multiple DVD players at my place no of them would play it.

Do i need some sort of DVD burning program to burn .avi files so that i can watch them like DVD's?

If yes could you please post some free DVD burning software?

so the format .avi is ok for DVD's so i need some soft of DVD burner Software?

Well for future movies, if you burn use nero.

 

You need to convert .avis to DVD .vobs. I use Avi2Dvd and it usually works fine, free for download from here. You should do 2 passes for good quality, though it'll take a few hours.

After that you need to burn everything in the folder you set Avi2Dvd to put the converted file in onto a DVD. I recommend you use Nero or Imgburn.

 

another good program for converting files is switch... dunno where to download or if it is free... but it was on my pc when i bought it.. soo yah.. lolz
