    Need help with logarithms

I need to know how to efficiently break apart logarithms. I have a quiz tomorrow, please help Thanks!

    Examples:

    (2√x)^3
    log ---------
    5

    sqrt (x^5 y^7)
    log subscript 4 -----------------
    zw^4

Don't know how to express subscript etc...

    Need help with logarithms

Generally, (Log a / Log) can be expressed as (Log a - Log b).
So in your case Log ((2√x)^3 / 5) could be rewritten as Log (2√x)^3 - Log 5.

Is that what you are asking? Or do you need to solve for x?
