Need help, Cs3

Ok well I'm having the most difficult time getting the hang of Photoshop Cs3. I want to start designing Orbs and Signatures, but I can't find a suitable guide to walk me through the basics.

Yes I realize there are stickies about this, but they list hundreds of guides that I really don't want to search through. I just want a VERY in-depth guide that covers the basics of GFX making with Cs3 in general.

If someone could just post the link of a guide that meets that criteria, I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance.

is a really nice indepth noobish tutorial it should get you far enough to be good on these forums.

is a relatively good 'orb' tutorial, it will get what you need done.

My tip for cs3 is to expand the tool bar to two columns so it looks just like cs2. The other thing is that cs3 does not differ very much from cs2 unless you are a professional photographer.

 

Thanks, and I wouldn't know anything about Cs2 or photoshop in general. I am completely new to it, but very anxious to learn about it and start making some GFX.
