OK, I'll start with what happened. Someone stole my friends phone (Expensive) a year ago and it was a gift from my family and his family for a b'day gift. Nobody really ever found out who did it and eventually he got a new phone. Dating back around a week ago, we finally found out who stole it in the first place.

We found out that it was this guy that we are all good with and comes and talks to us sometimes. He is a lanky dodgy guy and I think he now knows that we know who stole the phone. We have talked to a few people and they all said it was him who did it but because it's been over a year, he doesn't have the phone any more.

Tomorrow we are going to confront him about it, here is where I'm quite unsure on what to do. We could either just follow him home and jump him for his phone, confront him about it and tell him to repay the cost of the phone that he stole or get someone else like the principal of the school involved.

    Ideas anyone?

Honestly, you can do 1 of 2 things depending on your personality.

    1. If your the nice, forgiving guy, I saw confront him and ask why he did it and if you like the guy and he apologizes just leave it. Mabye ask him to repay for a new one then stay friends with him.

    2. Follow him after school, jump him for his phone and wallet. I think he deserves is it in my opinion for stealing a birthday present.

    Hopefully I helped :)

Insist on him paying it back, you don't want to get the principal involved unless you have to. If he doesn't pay it back, then a bit of aggression would be useful, just make sure he knows it's 2v1...
Have you ever met his parents? If they're normal, talk to them cause that'll fuck him over with his parents and I'm sure they'll make an agreement to pay you back. If they're parents who are a bit thuggish then just leave it.

Worst comes to worst, get all violent

Jump him for his phone and wallet; teach him a lesson.

I could have a broken arm and still come off better in a fight against him, it doesn't really matter if it's a 2v1. Never actually met his parents, would be too much of a hassle to track them down.

Jumping someone won't get you anything except possible jail time. Confront him and demand he pays what is owed or take it to the police.

Confront him for the cost of the phone and if he says no/denys stealing it get the principal and/or the cops involved. Make him know you mean business.
