Name changes

Once again, don't care which way this goes, but it needs to be addressed. It's now the community opinion that anyone with $300+ donor ranks get a name change, which isn't the case.

Just an official word on who gets them would be nice, before this turns into a favorites/donor shitstorm.

There are plenty of other quotes, I'll add them as I see them again.

 

It's not gonna happen to get a full name change.

People just need to know what's allowed and what's not. Some people with $100 donor can't even get the capital letter that they want, while others get full changes. Just an official perk/word/ruling.

 

I asked for an offical word but Admins kinda tell me that it's only in rare cases. I don't understand how some things go through. Actually it was P_anic > Panic > Ricky....WTF?

 

I think low level donors are allowed to capitalize their names, as well as removing numbers.

wulfspade1 --> Wulfspade1
Wolfdog54 --> Wolfdog
add my msn123 --> Add My Msn

I think high level donors are allowed name changes.

Wulfspade1, the main point here is that other users were previously refused even capitalization (Bubba for example, even though he got his now). If the staff are gonna do it, make it an official perk or people will just rant about 'favoritism'.

 

I think for me I would be allowed to go to DJ. But I shouldn't even as staff be able to go to like "Carlos" (not my real name)

No, I'm pretty sure you can get your name changed to Carlos if you wished.

I think it should be if you donated $300+, you can remove letters or add letters, but not a full name change.
Like djw said, a full name change to carlos shouldn't be allowed, but if someone like malakadang wanted to change his name to malak, it should be allowed.

 

I can't get my real name Matt because of Matthew so that's why I said Carlos just as an example.

 

Agreed with Wulf, low level donators should get small changes, whereas high level donators should be able to get full changes. At least I'd like clarity.

 

I don't support full name change; would just give someone more the reason to start scamming; just because they could reconstruct a new name.

OT: I think you should be able to only get what's in your name already. For example: Halo3MLG50s ---> Halo

^That should nto be the case, only if the word is ALREADY in your name. Only people who should be able to get a full name change are the admins.

 

I don't think the administrators are going to give FULL name changes to any randoms. I'm sure you have to be a high level donator, even then, you'll have a usertitle stating your previous name. For example, when Panic changed his name to Ricky, he had a usertitle saying "Formerly Panic."

Well, I understand that. But, I was saying, if your name was Carlos, you could get your username changed to that.

 

People who donated a fair amount of money to Sythe should be allowed to make a completely new name, like Panic -> Ricky.
And low level donator's should be allowed to take out any numbers out their name, or such little changes.

 

A definitive threshold would be nice, because I'm going to donate to sythe once I can find some stamps and I would love to have my name shortened to 'Fox' if possible.

On the donation perk pages it says that you get but not definitively what you get, I understand that some of them are fluid but even a range of what they would be would be nice.

Honestly, if their was an option when I could change my name from 'loyal to da game' to just simply ltdg, or Robert, I'd probably donate $200 for that.

 

I would like to get the "ll" removed, but that's not going to happen.

 

I tried getting the 3 removed from my name and was told it was only offered to $300+ donors currently but wolfdog had the "54" removed at a $5 donation I would like a thread addressing this as well.
